What I Wore This Week – My Everyday Vintage Style

One of the most asked questions I receive is ‘Do you dress like this every day?”

I find that most ladies that are starting out in wearing a vintage style can be easily overwhelmed by all the highly glamorous images of beautiful girls in beautiful ‘head to toe’ vintage, and they struggle to translate this look, as they are thinking ‘How can I wear this EVERY DAY?‘ I know I did!

When I first started embracing my vintage style ( and still now), I just LOVED to see what others did for their everyday style. And so, I have decided make a weekly post of a collation of my daily outfits to serve as inspiration for anyone wanting to see what ‘everyday‘ vintage style might be, as oppose to just the high glamour of special occasion outfits. Though, there will be some of those here too!

Here is a collection of my outfits over the last couple of weeks, (I will have to become more diligent in recording outfits everyday!)

I find it can be easier to get dressed up and plan a great vintage outfit for a special occasion or event, But when it comes to the every day, the off duty and even work outfits, it can be much more difficult to maintain the style standards you wish to attain!

And let’s not forget to mention that real vintage clothing is old and delicate, and with everyday wear will quickly deteriorate! This is just one of the reasons I like to wear mostly repro and thrift for my everyday.

For me, my vintage style runs through all aspects of my life. I don’t own jeans and I have been able to transform my whole wardrobe into workable vintage style pieces,  mixing real vintage, reproduction, and modern thrift clothing . From my evening wear to my sleepwear! But it was a process and it didn’t happen all at once!

Instagram is my party and is where I post all my outfits and daily fashion life! You can follow my IG HERE.

I hope you enjoy this series of posts and hopefully, it will serve as just a little inspiration for you!
