How to Tie a Vintage 1920’s Style Hair scarf – A modern flapper or Gatsby hair scarf tutorial

This is my most worn 1920s style headscarf style. It is perfect for bobbed hair and you can use it for a 1920s costume or Gatsby costume too!

I wear this style almost every day for summer! As it still finishes my vintage 1920’s ‘look’ without the extra heat of a hat ( unless it is a big sunhat of course!)

I get asked ALL of the time how I do this scarf style, so I thought it was about time I did a video for you!

It is really easy and won’t take you long at all!

Watch the video

Just use a long rectangular scarf, or a folder large square scarf to get the look!

Perfect for a vintage 1920’s style, flapper or even Gatsby costume!

I hope you enjoy and leave me a comment to tell me if you are going to try this one!

Until next time

I loved your tutorial. Years ago I went to a presentation during a business meeting that was called, ‘Tie One On,’. There was a book of different ways to tie a scarf and I have been looking for it, but have never found it. Are you aware of different ways and do you have more tutorials on this?
