What's my next big thing??? It's time to (finally publicly!) launch the new and improved version of Vintage Sewing School!

I've been working on this for months and planning it most of the year! And for the last month, I have had the privilege of having the most lovely and inspiring group of students join me, as I quietly opened up the new version of the school!

This new version is the way I always envisioned it could be!

But, it's not your average sewing school! Sewing to me is far more than just following a pattern...

A pattern is merely a tool of sewing, and sewing encompasses all range of skills and topics like mending, altering clothes to fit, refashioning, everything about fabrics, and understanding patterns so you can fit and change them to create anything you want!

And this is the range of topics that will be covered in Vintage Sewing School! It's not about sewing vintage clothes, but learning vintage dressmaking skills!

Little by little every month, all the 'assumed knowledge' home sewers of the past once had!

Learning to sew is so much better and more fun with friends too! That's creating a community inside he school was so important to me and a big part f what I wanted it to be!

If you're interested I invite you to join us, in this new sewing club as a member,

VISIT VINTAGE SEWING SCHOOL here

I would LOVE to have you in class and be part of your sewing journey!

Let me know what you think and what sewing skills are you excited to learn in 2020?

Until next time...

Ultimately, i would really love to be able to create a 1900 dress 😉
But I know I must start with the basics of sewing.

  • Linda says:

Ms Evelyn, I learned the basic of sewing back in the ’60 and I did make my Prom dress and got an “A” in the class…Life took me so many directions and sewing was only part time. Now that I’ve retired and want to get back into sewing and making my own clothes I am looking forward to joining your class and relearn the art of sewing.
